And... We're Live!

Now that I've experienced my first ever opening reception, I can tell you one thing - any success in life is nothing if you don't have the best family and friends to share it with! As each new group of guests arrived at the cafe, I realized how much my journey in art was bolstered by the encouragement and support of those who believed in me, especially during times when my own faltering self-confidence threatened to derail me from the path.

So this is my big thank-you - to every single person who lifted me, who said "do it!", who validated the value of the work by paying money to own a piece of it, who gave advice, critiqued, complimented, showed up, and helped me get to this junction in life.

And a junction it is - I quit my day job and will now spend the next few months contemplating new adventures for the future. Ultimately, it is about infusing more creativity into my work-life existence and bringing about a positive impact to the world in the ways that matter to me. Life is too short to not do what you love and love what you do. The goal is to do it, and to do some good while you're at it!

I hope you continue to walk alongside me on my journey and keep me honest along the way. If I can do the same for you, I would consider it a privilege.
